Rear-Wheel Drive Is The Starting Point
For MLR Drift Academy Bring Your Own Weapon sessions, rear-wheel drive is required. Front-wheel-drive and AWD/4WD vehicles are not accepted for drift coaching.
Manual Transmission Is Required For The Own-Car Path
The Bring Your Own Weapon path is built around a rear-wheel-drive manual platform so the driver can use the control methods expected in the coaching program.
Mechanical Safety Comes Before Modifications
A powerful car with cooling, brake, steering, wheel-bearing, tire, or fluid issues is not a useful training tool. The car must pass a safety review before the session is confirmed.
A Handbrake Helps, But It Is Not The Whole Technique
A handbrake is recommended but not always mandatory. The lesson still depends on weight transfer, throttle, steering, vision, line, and the driver understanding why the car is rotating.
